Scattered haphazardly on top of a lonely mountain, were these peaceful, pink morsels of life peeking through dry pine needles.
My sister and I had been hiking for much of the day and exhaustion was creeping in. As night drew near, we heard some music and the smell of some kind of meat being barbecued. We followed our senses and instantaneously were welcomed to join in on a family reunion. Pulled pork, lamb on a spit, fresh bread and fresh greens! Not to mention the best margaritas. In fact, I fell in love with the bottle of inocente Tequila and asked if I can take a couple of empty bottles to take home as a souvenir. Their hospitality was priceless. Best experience ever!!
We also came across a beautiful little church surrounded by the whispering pines.
